Cabinet Specialist/Project Manager

Kitchen Cabinetry Project Manager/Designer
We are seeking a highly driven and enthusiastic Kitchen Cabinetry Project Manager/Designer to work closely with homeowners. This position will promote and support the sales team in selling high-quality kitchen cabinetry in surrounding areas for our three retail locations.

Qualified candidates will -

  • Be comfortable interacting with consumers along with multiple trades and have excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Job entails full knowledge of all of our showroom products, meeting with clients and performing detailed oversight of the ordering & delivery process, timely and accurate measures.
  • Must be experienced in using 20/20 to design projects per the clients' requirements.
  • Focus on growing the business by penetrating new market segments, nurturing strong vender relationships, and keeping in front of our competition.

Additional tasks to include -

  • Prospecting for new business opportunities and generating new sales leads.
  • Following up with prospects and overcoming objections to closing sales
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with homeowners and working collaboratively with our retail showroom sales staff
  • Researching and implementing ways to improve quality and streamline productivity

As a Kitchen Cabinetry Project Manager & Designer you will:

  • Design, estimate and measure each project, order all cabinets and/or supplies for the project, being present during delivery of cabinets to ensure correct product, present on site during installation and follow up with customers at end of project to ensure exceptional satisfaction.
  • Additional responsibilities include: - Ensuring the order process flows smoothly and efficiently while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Promoting our company throughout the sales process by accurately proposing available products and services
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date product and service knowledge

Requirements: As a Kitchen Project Manager & Designer

  • Be a cooperative team player with a sense of integrity, a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and the desire to learn new products and sales skills.
  • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication and time management skills.
  • Be able to adapt easily to a changing work environment and be able to relate to a broad and varied customer base.

Additional requirements include:

  • Preferred - 5 years’ experience within the cabinet industry with a proven record of success working with homeowners
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in project management
  • Excellent working knowledge of cabinetry, design, function and space.
  • Strong working knowledge of business communication methods such as telephone and email etiquette, professional letter formats and styles, memoranda and reports
  • Computer proficiency and ability to use customer database and spreadsheet software
  • Microsoft Outlook and word processing software
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, pay close attention to details, document daily activities and succeed at setting and accomplishing goals.

Benefits:

Measure Specialist

The Measure Technician works independently in a traveling field role in support of Erskine Interiors retail division. The Technician's role is to provide quality professional customer service that consistently meets or exceeds Company standards of excellence and customer expectations.

The position is directly responsible for creating, maintaining and improving customer relationships while interacting with customers on a daily basis by taking on-site home measurements. Also providing a positive customer experience, accurate measurements, entering and transmitting measurements with a tablet and converting into our companies software.

We have retail locations in Woodbury, Eden Prairie and Hudson WI

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • 90% Providing customer service by assessing customer needs, communicating with customers and conducting in home measures.
  • 10% Review and edit of drawings into the tablet

Nature and Scope

Position Reports to: Production Manager with some supervision and direction from our Sales Manager.

  • Number of Direct Reports: 0
  • Environmental Job Requirements: Located in a comfortable indoor area. Conditions could produce mild discomfort on occasion including but not limited to lifting, bending, squatting within customers' homes.
  • Travel: No overnight Travel, requires daily travel to multiple measurement sites.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be eighteen years of age or older Must be legally permitted to work in the United States and a clear driving record.
  • Education: The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Years of Relevant Work Experience: Willing to train.
  • Physical Job Requirements: Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous customer service or retail sales experience is preferred.
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND COMPETENCIES: Skilled at consistently providing outstanding customer service, following through on responsibilities to customers and recovering from any errors made. • Demonstrated ability to complete projects and assignments accurately, catching errors before completion, despite a large workload, competing demands and a fast paced environment. • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with customers. • Ability to set priorities, plan and coordinate work activities and obtain and manage resources so that work objectives are accomplished on time.
  • Associates must have strong computer skills, and understanding for new software.
